Filipino life in the UK

Where to find a taste of home: shops, restaurants, churches, community groups and events across the UK.

Food and shops

From pandesal and ube to dried fish and calamansi, Filipino stores and Asian supermarkets stock the ingredients for the dishes you miss. We are building city-by-city lists of shops and restaurants, starting with London.

Faith

Many Catholic parishes across the UK hold Filipino community Masses, and Simbang Gabi before Christmas brings people together. Our guide will list where to find them.

Community groups and support

Nurses’ associations, regional and alumni groups, and community organisations offer friendship, advice and support. The Philippine Embassy in London handles passports, civil registration and other consular services.

Events

Philippine Independence Day on 12 June, summer fiestas and Christmas celebrations are highlights of the year. We will keep a list of upcoming events.
